Example of Article

Cardiovascular disease, hypertension and diabetes mellitus are all threatened by abdominal obesity (AO).Specific findings about AO involving Malaysian adults internationally are not many to be found.Adults of age 18 years and above were the objects for the Third National Health and Morbidity Survey (NHMS III) conducted in 2006.Their waist circumferences were measured to obtain the results. Both socio-economic factors and demographic characteristics are related to the occurrence of AO.32,900 (98.3%) out of 33,465 individuals were measured.Important tips from World Health Organization were used to analyse the rate of AO.As a result,84.0cm was the mean waist circumference in both men and women.AO cases was internationally dominant with the percentage of 17.4%.The main patients of AO were women (95%),50-59 years of age (95%),Indians (95%),homemakers (95%),with primary educational level (95%) and was or still married (95%).It is vital that prevention plans of abdominal obesity (AO) are a must as chronic disease awaits those with AO.

The Definitions Of Obesity

Salam and Hi!

How is life, everyone?
Hope you guys are doing just fine.
For this post,we would like to brief about what is obesity.

According to Michael D. Myers,a practicing physician in Cypress,California (U.S) from http://www.weight.com/definition.asp,
obesity is an excess of body fat that frequently results in a significant impairment of health.

Referring to World Health Organization website http://www.who.int/en/,
overweight and obesity are defined as abnormal or excessive fat accumulation that presents a risk to health.

Based on http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/obesity/DS00314,
obesity is defined as having an excessive amount of body fat. Obesity is more than just a cosmetic concern, though. It increases your risk of diseases and health problems such as diabetes and high blood pressure.

According to http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/123702-overview,
obesity involves BMIs greater than the 85th (commonly used to define overweight) or the 95th (commonly used to define obesity) percentile, respectively, for age-matched and sex-matched control subjects.

Meanwhile,referring to http://www.qof.ic.nhs.uk/glossary.asp,

obesity occurs when a person puts on weight to the extent that it seriously endangers health. It is defined as having a body mass index (BMI) that is greater than or equal to 30. In the QOF obesity prevalence is in respect of patients aged 16 and over.

Based on http://sportsmedicine.about.com,
obesity occurs when a person has too much body fat. Obesity is not the same as being overweight; a person is considered obese when they weigh 20% or more of the maximum desirable weight for their height.

Topic Introduction : Obesity Among Malaysians

Burgers, pizzas, cakes and fizzy drinks are Malaysians most preferable food these days. They are easy to get, fast prepared and delicious.Everyone is eager to grab a bite while they are one their way to work or class. This had become a habit or lifestyles especially to those who are busy and do not have much time for oneself..However,do they care about the calories that came along with what they ate? Malaysians eat a lot and lack in time to exercise. For instance, people who live in the urban areas, they are always on the run, thus they choose fast food outlets as their breakfast, lunch and dinner destinations because it is fast, and maybe cheaper than the normal restaurants.Besides that, urban people sometimes work on weekends. They have no time to even make a little stretch for their body. This is one of the causes why numerous Malaysians suffer weight problems or we know it as obesity. It is a common problem for Malaysians nowadays, which includes adolescents, kids and adults. Some people could not care less about it.Once you grow fatter or bigger, this resulted in you being ashamed of yoursel. Thus, you will try to reduce your body weight. Why bother losing wights when you yourself could not cut off the intake of fast food? There is people who noticed that they gain a few pounds and started staying indoors for the reason of feeling embarressed to be in public.Even worse, uncontrollable consumption of fast food may lead to chronic diseases. These are the reasons why we choose to discuss about this issue that is obesity among Malaysians so that the readers are aware of the problem and take good care of themselves thus making a change in their life.
